1st Annual KCC Golf Tournament
What: 1st Annual Kailua Canoe Club Golf Tournament and Canoe Fundraiser
Where: Hawaii Kai Golf Course
When: Friday, July 30, 2010
Enjoy a great afternoon on the greens while helping Kailua Canoe Club purchase a new canoe! The format a is a 3-person best ball/modified scramble and it promises to be good fun and for a great cause.
You will receive:
- a goody bag loaded with sponsor gifts
- lunch of course!
- Various opportunities for drawings, prizes include: Large flat screen TV(s), DVD players, and other (too many to count) prizes!
- and the opporutnity to win awards and prizes for several categories: Best team, Longest drives, Closest to the pin, and the Pre-round putting contest).

About Kailua Canoe Club
In 1971, KCC was the vision of two coaches and about 50 paddlers who had been paddling with the Kailua Hawaiian Civil Club (KHCC). Those two paddlers were Jimmy Marciel and Cliff Ornellas. This tight-knit group of paddlers purchased the koa canoe "Kalanakila" (Victorious) from KHCC, bought a canoe trailer and a fiberglass training canoe affectionately called the "water wiggle". Cliff and Jimmy researched and adopted the petroglyph paddleman (our club logo), chose blue and gold as our club colors and Kailua Canoe Club was founded. (read more)
